A few weeks ago we were lucky enough to be invited to take some children to experience a triathlon held by the Brownlee Foundation. The children experienced a triathlon to the fullest and made the school incredibly proud in doing so.
Seven children from KS2 were selected to represent Allerton C of E Primary School in the Active Schools Inclusive Sports Hall Athletics Competition which was held at The John Charles Centre for Sport. The children took part in a range of running, jumping and throwing events and they were absolutely fantastic so much so that they have been selected to represent Leeds at the West Yorkshire School Games which will be held in March 2017.
25 Year 2 children represented the school in a mini athletics competition which was held at Allerton High School. They were competing against two other schools in the area in a variety or running, jumping and throwing events. The children were a credit to the school and they worked extremely hard in all events, the best bit about it was that they had a smile on their faces from start to finish.
What a fantastic morning we had at the ‘Active Schools Inclusive Sports Hall Athletics’.
7 children from Key Stage 2 were selected to take part in a variety or running, jumping and throwing events in what was a really fun packed morning at The John Charles Centre for Sport. The children worked really hard in all of the activities and showed real commitment and determination to succeed. There efforts were not in vain as the team were selected to represent Leeds at the West Yorkshire School Games in Huddersfield on Wednesday 8th March 2017.
A huge well done to all involved.
Twenty children from KS1 tested their steel at the ‘Active Schools KS1 Sports Hall Athletics’ event held at Farsley Celtic F.C. The children participated in several track and field events throughout the day. It was a great introduction to the Sports hall athletics concept and all involved showed real talent and determination. Well done all!
