ACE U9s Football Tournament!

On Tuesday, 24th of September,  ACE hosted an Under 9s football tournament with Power Play, one of our partnership links, Steven Bailey from Powerplay is a parent at school and he helped to organise the event, provided medals and the trophy, as well
as some football cards to give to all the children who took part.

We were delighted to have the following school with us,  Alwoodley, Meanwood,
St Urbans, St Paul’s and Primley Wood. The sun was shining and the atmosphere was friendly, calm and very competitive.

ACE l and ACE 2 were drawn to play each other.
In the semi finals and it was a tight game. ACE 1 scored and took their place in the final along side St Paul’s who knocked St Urbans out in an exciting penalty shoot out.

The final was very competitive but Yasa scored to allow the ACE I team to lift the trophy. champions again for the Under 9s squad. We had some new Year 3 children, on both teams and they looked very comfortable with their new roles.

We would like to thank all staff, from all the schools,  who worked so hard to make this a fun event.  The children were amazing and Bradford Park Ave provided the referees.
