Windrush Project Performance at Phoenix Dance Theatre.

Selected Year 5 and Year 6 pupils have been working incredibly hard over the past few months behind the scenes with Phoenix Dance Company as part of the Windrush Project. After weeks of dedication, rehearsals, and teamwork, it was finally time for the big performance!

Last Wednesday, Mrs Fox, Mrs Rehal, and Mrs Stott accompanied 25 children to Phoenix Dance Theatre, where they performed alongside pupils from other primary and secondary schools, as well as college students.

Our children truly worked their socks off and experienced what life is like as a professional dancer. They took part in technical rehearsals, dress rehearsals, Caribbean dance workshops, and finally performed in an inspiring showcase.

We would like to say a huge thank you to Phoenix Dance Company for all their hard work over the past few months in bringing this fantastic project together. The children thoroughly enjoyed every minute, and we are delighted to be able to provide opportunities like this that inspire and develop their confidence, creativity, and talents.

A very special shout-out goes to Kian, who was awarded a full bursary with Phoenix Dance Company in recognition of his outstanding talent, enthusiasm, and willingness to go the extra mile. What an incredible achievement!

We are immensely proud of every child who took part and represented ACE so brilliantly. Well done to you all!
