Orienteering competition.

After lots of work on compass points and directional skills development, including coordinates and developing keys our plans for one afternoon had to be amended.

Mrs Cosgrove and 6D found themselves in pouring rain and no indoor space. We decided to have a competition displaying our cartography skills.

The children did not let me down. Benji’s winning map used a grid system and clear coordinates. Aubrey came second with a neatly drawn map with a lovely easy to read key. Third place was a group effort with a holiday type village complete with hotels clear signage to the spa, rooms, restaurant etc

All the children who won received logic style puzzle books and novelty pens.

Well done guys!
