Year 4 football team go out of the cup on penalties!!

The year 4 footballers exited the cup in the quarter finals in the cruelest way possible by being beaten 3-1 on penalties. The game finished 3-3 after full time and the score line remained the same after extra time, so there was only one thing for it ton decide the tie and that was penalties!!

Unfortunately Allerton C of E Primary School lost 3-1. The team played with real heart and having been behind three times in the match they worked incredibly hard to get themselves back in the game and it was a shame to see them exit the cup in such a way. I am confident that they will come back from the defeat and they should be proud of what they achieved and how they played.

Football away day to Rotherham!

15 Children from year 4,5 and 6 were selected to represent the school in a friendly tournament held at Wath High School in Rotherham on Thursday 1st December 2016. The children were chosen because of their attitude, commitment, ability and behaviour. It was a fantastic afternoon with both teams putting in some great performances. The children were a real credit to themselves and the school and whilst the results didn’t all go our way, the players worked incredibly hard and gave a great account of themselves.

Datacable Cup news

Year 4 march on to the next round of the Datacable Cup with a tremendous 4-1 win against St. Josephs Primary School Wetherby.

Well there’s not much I can say other than what a fantastic performance! The year 4 footballers really did shine, they played brilliant football from start to finish and all involved were exceptional.

Allerton took the lead within the first 5 minutes and there was never any doubt as to who was going to win. It didn’t come easy though as St. Jospeh’s put in a great performance but Allertons work rate, attitude and team work prevailed.
