ACE @ All Saints

On Monday we travelled with the football team for an away game at All Saints. In a hard fought battle the ended up 0-0 but both teams massively impressed all staff from both schools.

The passion, team work and desire to win, matched with outstanding sportsmanship was on display from the kick off to the final whistle.

Special mention to Liam who had an amazing game in goal and kept us in the game throughout!

School Games Mini Tennis competition

Yesterday 8 children in Year 4 and 5 represented our school in the ActiveSchools Mini Tennis competition at Chapel Allerton Tennis Club.

The children played well and won more than they lost! Unfortunately, we didn’t qualify for the next round but we had a great time!

A huge thank you to Matt from School Games for an amazing event. All the children in attendance were fantastic examples for their schools and the event was one of the best organised events we have attended all year!

Cheer Leading Team win Gold!

On Wednesday 27th February our Cheer Leading Team took part in a Cheer leading competition against six other schools and ….. they won a Gold!
They thoroughly deserved this win and worked so hard to produce a complex routine that was fascinating to watch. Thank you to Ciara, the Cheerleading coach and to all the parental support on the night. We look forward to performing it to the whole school!

Climbing @ The Climbing Lab

Today we took 6 Year 3 students to The Climbing Lab for a taster session in rock climbing. The children were a credit to Allerton CofE and had a wonderful time.

Special thank you to Active Schools for the opportunity and for the coaches at The Climbing Lab for making the session so enjoyable for the children.

Huge well done to our climbers who made it to the top of the wall!

Leeds champions!

Last week our girls football team came in first place, beating out 14 schools, in a Premier Stars event hosted by Leeds United.

The girls made ACE proud and were models of resilience, desire, commitment and excellence.

Scoring was led by Kariss with 5, Nyiema with 3 and Alexia adding 2.

Quiksticks qualifiers

Huge congratulations to our hockey team who have qualified for the Leeds finals after winning 5 of 6 games and having some intense battles on our way to victory!

A real team effort and desire to win allowed the team, coached by Mr Kay, to impress the event organisers and secure a place in the next round.

Finals here we come!
