Multiskills event @ Leeds Beckett University

Last week some of our Key Stage 2 children were lucky enough to go to Leeds Beckett University to take part in a variety of sports taught by specialist coaches. The children made the most of such a fantastic opportunity, taking part in squash, american football, tennis, basketball and athletics events, to name a few.

Huge well done to all the children involved!

League match @ Carr Manor Primary School

A HUGE well done to the football team who managed to break our 2 month scoring drought in a 2-0 victory over Carr Manor Primary School. Both teams played very well and used space effectively to ensure we had a great game of football.

Well done to Kai who scored both goals for us.

Again, a massive thank you to the Friends of Allerton for providing us with a new team kit, it proved to be very lucky!

We move up to third in the league!

Year 3/4 Football @ Richmond Hill

We took our Year 3/4 football team to Richmond Hill Academy for a come and play football event. The children played well as a team, experimenting with different positions and had a very positive experience at competitive sport. Unfortunately, we lost both games 1-0 and 2-1 but the enjoyment, effort and team work has filled me with hope for the future!

Special mention to Nathan as the only Year 3 in the team!

Boys Dodgeball and New Kit!

Last week we travelled to Shakespeare Primary School to play in a dodgeball event. Allerton ended up coming third and made us very proud watching from the sidelines.

Huge well done to Leo who left as our Star Player for the event!

Finally, a MASSIVE thank you to the Friends of Allerton for our beautiful new kit. The children were so excited and proud to wear it and we look forward to getting a lot of use out of it!

Touch rugby @ Gledhow

Last night our Year 5 touch rugby team travelled to Gledhow for a Year 5 touch rugby competition.

ACE made the final of the competition, unfortunately losing 2-0 to a Year 6 team from Gledhow.

The team were fantastic representatives of our school and I am incredibly proud of how every member of the team performed on the day.

Well done to Stathi for winning a star performer medal!
